On stocking an iPod for intercontinental travel...

12 days out of the country with varying levels of amenities requires an iPod packed with what Flo calls "quasi-religious music". He's right, of course, and I decided on a fairly extensive and genre-busting list. In alphabetical order:
  • Ellen Allien - Fabric 34
  • John Digweed - Transitions Volume 1
  • John Digweed - Transitions Volume 3
  • Lee Burridge - Balance 012, Disc 1
  • M.A.N.D.Y. - At the Controls
  • The Mars Volta - De-loused in the Comatorium
  • Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile
  • Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
  • Nine Inch Nails - Still
  • Pink Floyd - Meddle
  • Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
  • Queens of the Stone Age - Era Vulgaris
  • Queens of the Stone Age - Lullabies to Paralyze
  • Queens of the Stone Age - Queens of the Stone Age
  • Radiohead - Amnesiac
  • Radiohead - In Rainbows
  • Squarepusher - Ultravisitor
  • Tool - Aenima
  • Tool - Lateralus
  • Tool - Salival
  • Trentemoller - Essential Mix 10/14/2006
Notable absences are Massive Attack's Mezzanine, James Holden's Balance 005, Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works '86-'92, and Queens of the Stone Age's Songs for the Deaf. A 2Gb iPod can only hold so much.
